The Masisit-Dacal Livelihood Multipurpose Cooperative (MASCOOP) earned regional recognition after winning a consolation prize in the 2025 Most Innovative Rice-Based Learning Site for Agriculture, organized by the Farm-Tech Developmental Network Academy, Inc. The award covers the entire Region II, highlighting MASCOOP’s active participation and commitment to promoting innovation in rice-based agricultural learning despite strong competition from various institutions and organizations across the region.
MASCOOP’s learning site showcased practical approaches in rice production, technology adoption, and community-based agricultural development. Through hands-on demonstrations, farmer training, and collaborative learning activities, the cooperative was able to present its efforts in empowering local farmers and improving agricultural practices. Although the top prize was awarded to another institution, MASCOOP’s entry stood out for its grassroots impact and dedication to sustainable farming education.
The consolation award serves as an inspiration for MASCOOP to further enhance its programs and facilities, reinforcing its role as a partner in agricultural development. The recognition affirms that even at the cooperative level, meaningful contributions to innovation and learning can gain regional acknowledgment. MASCOOP remains committed to continuously improving its rice-based learning initiatives for the benefit of farmers and the wider agricultural community.
