The Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office No. 2 (DA RFO 2), through a video posted by the DA Region 02 – Field Operations Division, featured Dr. Pepito George C. Sacramed, Chairman of the Board of Directors of MASCOOP, expressing his gratitude for the agency’s continuing support to the cooperative and its farmer-members. His message was delivered during activities under the Farm and Fisheries Clustering and Consolidation (F2C2) Program, which aims to improve agricultural productivity through stronger farmer organizations, shared resources, and coordinated development initiatives across communities.
In his statement, Dr. Sacramed thanked DA RFO 2 for providing significant agricultural interventions that have strengthened MASCOOP’s operations and improved the productivity of local farmers. He highlighted support that includes a rice mill, mechanical dryers, warehouse facilities, hauling trucks, and major government initiatives such as the Rice for All Program, the INSPIRE Project, and the Livestock Economic Enterprise Development (LEED) Program. According to Dr. Sacramed, these interventions have contributed to higher agricultural production and better opportunities for cooperative members and farming communities.
Dr. Sacramed also conveyed his appreciation to DA RFO 2 Regional Executive Director Rose Mary G. Aquino, Department of Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr., and President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr. for their continued efforts in strengthening the country’s agriculture sector. He recognized their commitment to supporting cooperatives and farmers through programs that enhance productivity, improve agricultural infrastructure, and promote long-term rural development. The F2C2 Program continues to demonstrate the importance of collaboration between government institutions and farmer cooperatives in building a more resilient and productive agricultural sector.
